Ozark is the county seat of Dale County, with a historic downtown around the courthouse square and neighborhoods that range from older in-town homes to newer subdivisions and country properties with acreage. It is also one of the closest towns to Fort Rucker, so many listings attract military and civilian buyers who work on post.
Ozark is about 23 driving miles from our Dothan base, inside the 35-mile zone, so there is no travel fee for Ozark shoots.
In-town homes and country properties
Older homes near downtown Ozark often have character that is easy to lose in flat, dark photos: original trim, porches, big trees, and established lots. We shoot bracketed HDR so interiors stay bright and natural and windows keep their view, and we compose exteriors to show the porch and curb appeal without distorting the house.
Outside town, much of Dale County is rural. For homes with land, a few aerials do more than any ground photo to show how much property comes with the house, where the tree line is, and how the driveway reaches the road.
Aerials with the airspace checked first
Ozark is close to Fort Rucker and its airfields, so some addresses fall in controlled or restricted airspace. Tyler is an FAA Part 107 certified remote pilot and checks every address before the shoot. When authorization is available we request it, and when it is not, we tell you up front.
Drone photos can be added to any shoot for $75, or booked on their own as a drone-only session for $125 with 15 to 20 edited aerials and lot lines.
Ozark housing snapshot
Ozark had 14,368 residents in the 2020 Census, and the Census Bureau's July 1, 2025 estimate is 14,269 (-0.6% from the April 2020 estimates base). About 64.9% of housing units are owner-occupied, the median value of owner-occupied homes is $148,900, and median gross rent is $694. There are 5,790 households, the average commute is 23.5 minutes, and 1,616 residents are veterans (2020-2024 estimates).
Ozark is a steady, mostly owner-occupied market, and about 22% of residents are 65 or older (Census Bureau). A floor plan and wide, straight interior photos help buyers judge room sizes and layout before they visit, and aerials show the yard and lot.
